Egypt makes World's Largest Fuul Dish


Egypt smashed Guinness World Records for the largest fuul dish ever.

Guinness World Records required that the dish weight more than 2,000 kilograms. The remaining food goes as donations for the needy, it will also be packed into small plastic containers and distribute them to 7,500 poor households nationwide.

Five thousand Egyptian took part in the event that was held in El-Hurriya Garden in posh district of Zamalek.

The fuul dish consisted of 300 kilograms of tomatoes, 3,000 kilograms of fuul, 200 kilograms of onion, and 5,000 bags of spices. The dish weighed 4,500 kilograms and spanned an area of 100 square meters.


“The dish broke the world record after it met the requirements,” said Omnia al-Zahar, media spokesperson of the event.
