"Yasser Abdel Aziz" session at AAST

On the 16^th of March an event was held in the AAST, it was a session with the media expert “Yasser Abdel Aziz”. Nearly all the student from our collage CLC attended the session as is was really important, and we came out of it with many important tips on how to be a good journalist.

He gave the session in a really fun was by telling us a short story and made each one of us write his opinion in the characters and a news story. After that he told us the tips on how to be a good journalist. Briefly the tips were, first to make a perfect headline that suits your writing, stop labeling, don’t fabric facts, don’t assume that something happened and base on it your story, be objective, and don’t interpret the news or story in your own way but you should deliver the real story or what’s happening as it is.

It was our honor to have such an important expert that gave us an amazing session by providing all the information needed in a way that didn’t make any of us feel bored and that will help us a lot in our career.

انخفاض سعر كيلو البامية إلى 10 جنيهات والطماطم إلى 4 جنيهات

قامت الأجهزة الرقابية بوزارة التموين بالتعاون والتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة لمباحث التموين وأعضاء جهاز حماية المستهلك بجولات مكثفة علي الأسواق و ذلك لضبط المحتكرين.

وأشارت وزارة التموين والتجارة الداخلية في بيان أصدرته يوم السبت الموافق 9مايو, إلى أنه تمت متابعة أسعار الخضروات والفاكهة بالأسواق والتي انخفضت تدريجيا نتيجة طرح المحصول الجديد بالأسواق .

وقد بلغت أسعار كيلو البامية 10 جنيهات وسوف تنخفض تباعا خلال الأيام القادمة وذلك بعد أن وصلت إلي 25 جنيها للكيلو في بداية طرحها بالأسواق.

وأضافت أن أسعار الطماطم انخفضت إلي 4 جنيهات للكيلو ومع زيادة حرارة الجو سوف ينخفض سعرها إلي أقل من ذلك بكثير

Alaa Al-Aswany gives a seminar in Alexandria

The weekly seminar of Alaa AL-Aswany was held on Thursday the 30th of April in Al-Jesuits cultural center in Alexnadria at 7 Pm. 

Al-Aswany discussed the relation between politics and literature in the seminar. "literature is the tool of upcomming generations humanization as it reduces the number of political crimes being commited everyday in the world" Al- Aswany said. 

He also clarified that literature personify injustice so it grows generations up to hate it. if generations are grown up to study and read literature they will not judge other people blindly and they will be more tolerant. 

large number of people attended the seminar, and they were glad with all what they came up with form the seminar.

السيسي يعلن الموعد الرسمي لافتتاح قناة السويس الجديدة


قال الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي انه تم الانتهاء من ٪١٠٠ من اعمال الحفر الجاف لقناة السويس الجديدة

و قد صرح الرئيس في حديث للشعب يوم الثلاثاء ١٢ مايو افتتاح المجرى الجديد للقناة في السادس من اغسطس مشيراً الى انه تم دعوة رؤساء دول كثيرة للمشاركة في الافتتاح


كما اشار السيسي الى انه تم افتتاح مزارع لاستزراع السمكي على احواض رسيب شرق قناة السويس في اغسطس المقبل

سيدة عجوز تبيع الطوب و الرمل لإعالة أحفادها ال21

تبلغ الحاجه "سعاد" ٨٥  عاماً , بعد وفاة زوجها عملت فى تجارة الطوب و الرمل و غيرهما من ادوات البناء التي لا يتحملها 

جسدها الضعيف. وقد أضطرت "سعاد" إلى ذلك العمل الشاق لأنها وجدت نفسها مسئولة عن احفادها ال٢١,فقد أختار 

الموت أبنائها و هم فى سن الشباب و لم يترك لها زوجها أى إرث سوى محل أدوات البناء الصغير هذا

  هذا المحل الذي تركوا لها زوجها هو مصدر دخلها الوحيد, و يتراوح دخل المحل من ١٠٠ جنيه الى اقل بكثير في بعض الاحيان. و تبدأ "سعاد" عملها فى المحل فى التاسعة صباحاً لتواصل عملها لأكثر من 12 ساعة يوميا, فعلى الرغم من شدة المرض و موجات الزهايمر  ظلت "عمود الاسرة" و العائل الوحيد لاسرتها

و قد أعربت الحاجة سعاد عن رضاها بما قسمه الله لها و عن نجاحها فى تأدية رسالتها تجاه أحفادها, فكلهم الآن فى التعليم الثانوى و منهم من التحق بالجامعة

Bomb explosion in Aswan

Three civilians were injured Monday evening on the 6^th of April after a bomb exploded in Aswan.

The improvised explosive device (IED) was located close to security camp in Aswan, causing the injuries, one whom was a four-year-old child. The injured persons were transported to Aswan University Hospital. the Governor of Aswan later visited the injured in hospital. 

The highest frequencies of attacks have taken place in North Sinai followed by Cairo and other governorates. Explosion and shooting mainly target army and security officials. 

EgyptAir readies for busy summer travel season

EgyptAir is scheduled to operate about 900 domestic and international flights between Cairo and several cities around the world in a busy summer travel season that began on March 29.

The national air carrier is due to launch 649 international flights and 206 domestic and regional flights every week.

In the summer season, the company will increase its flights to Middle East region. The flights to the Middle East, Europe and Africa will top 228, 158 and 111 flights, respectively per week this summer.

The national air carrier will also operate about 71 flights between Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan an Alexandria.

EgyptAir Express will also operate 28 flights between Cairo and Aswan, nine flights between Cairo and Abu Simbel, five flights between Cairo and Sohag and four flights between Cairo and Marsa Alam.

During winter season, EgyptAir Airlines and EgyptAir Express operated 513 weekly flights, up by 207 flights compared to the same season a year earlier.

Government committe to monitor gas cylinders' distribution on ration cards

The government has formed a committee comprised of members from the ministries of supply, planning, and Petroleum to put guidelines and controls on the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders on ration cards, similar to the system of bread distribution on the cards.

A share of LPG will be allocated to every citizen on the card, with LPG cards to be issued to those who have no ration cards.

The system will soon be applied in Port Said as an initial phase, before generalizing it in the rest of the governorates. It will eliminate LPG shortages that occur at the beginning of each winter and prevent the sale of the cylinders in the black market.

Egypt has witnessed a fuel crisis since the start of this year, which led to a rise in the black market prices of LPG cylinders, which are used as fuel in Egyptian houses.

Manial Palace re-open

At the southern tip of the Road Island in Cairo stands Manial Palace, its exquisite early 20^th-century architectural style welcoming visitors. Closed for 10 years for restoration, the palace has now regained its original splendor.

A major work started on the palace’s restoration in 2005, during the opening ceremony, held in the Golden Hall of the palace, the Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb, Minister of Antiquities Mahmoud Eldamaty and Prince Abbas Helmy, grandson of the Manial Place’s builder, Prince Mohamed Ali, cut the ribbon to mark the reopening of the Palace to the public.

Ahmed Ashraf, the head of the Museums Department at the ministry, said that the restoration project cost LE 61 million and included the main building of the palace as well as its gardens, mosque and clock tower.

The site combines Fatimid and Mameluke style, as well as Ottoman elements and features drawing on Persian, Andalusian, Syrian, and Moroccan architecture, as well as European rococo.

All decorative elements found at the palace, including manuscripts, carpets, textiles, brass work and crystal pieces have been restored.

Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, head of the Historic Cairo Rehabilitation Project, said Prince Mohamed Ali, built the palace in 1901 in a revived Islamic architectural style, unlike the European style usually employed for the royal family’s palaces.

The palace is also home to rare collection of antiques that the prince collected from different parts of the world or picked out of the rubble of collapsing Mameluke and Ottoman houses.
